Welcome

It is my pleasure to welcome you to Ysgol Henry Richard’s website, which provides education to pupils from three years old to sixteen. I hope that the site can deliver a wide range of information on the different aspects of work that the school provides and on the various activities the school holds throughout the year.

Our vision is  to ensure an inclusive school that supports every single learner to succeed across our curriculum in a happy, supportive, and ambitious environment. Developing and preparing learners to be knowledgeable and actively involved in their local, national, and international communities is core for the understanding of school values to be reflected in their future choices and implement our motto "In Work There Is Reward" on all social and personal levels. The voice of our learners is vital throughout their journey at this school, resulting in a balanced and broad curriculum to foster independence, confidence, and resilience to prepare for a bright future.

The School holds a very strong Welsh identity which reflects the area, pupils and families that it serves.   Through the ‘Welsh Curriculum’ we, on a daily basis, promote the use of the Welsh language, history and cultural of Wales.  Education through the medium of Welsh is offered in a wide range of our subjects.

We believe in working closely in partnership with Parents and outside agencies to enable the pupils to achieve their goals.   We kindly ask that Parents to co-sign the School/Home Contract that formally acknowledges this partnership by noting the areas in which the school and home can collaborate.
